HEIGHT 611
Dalnegorsk, 29 Jan 1986. Silent red ball. Burn and beads on the ridge. No airframe.
135°37'00 E
1. Public Record
Dalnegorsk, Primorsky. 29 January 1986, about 20:00 in some clocks, morning in others; the local file settles on an evening red ball the size of a half moon, silent, flying level, then a strike on Izvestkovaya, Height 611. Townsfolk watch from the streets. Next day men climb. They find a burn, sintered stuff, odd metal beads. Valery Dvuzhilny and others take samples. A second night of lights is claimed over the same ridge. A small journal later wears the hill's name.
Soviet paper is cautious and then curious. No air-defence wreck is signed out. Analyses argue terrestrial slag, a failed device, an unknown. The hill is still on walking maps as the supposed crash place. Beads circulate among collectors. Nothing in this cabinet is a complete airframe.
A red ball. A limestone hill. Slag that would not shut up.
The ball flew parallel to the ground. There were no sounds.
2. Date of Incident
29 January 1986. Hill searches in the following days. Samples through that year.
3. Location
Height 611, Dalnegorsk. Approximate 44°34 N 135°37 E.
4. Official Narrative
No Ministry of Defence crash bulletin. Official narrative is unofficial: a local event the centre did not have to name.
5. Witness Layer
Townsfolk on the streets. Climbers the next day. Dvuzhilny. Later journal editors.
6. Recovery Logistics
Burn crust. Beads. No large structure lifted off the limestone.
7. Assessment
A slag-and-ridge file. Keep the silent level flight. Keep the second night as a claim, not a confirmation. Do not write a recovered craft because beads exist. Do not write a meteor as finished because the path was described as parallel to the ground. Dvuzhilny is a collector of the event, not a state lab.
8. Materials & Remains
Sample beads. Burn descriptions. Local journal. The hill.
9. Key Personnel
Dalnegorsk street witnesses : The ball.
Valery Dvuzhilny : Samples and the later paper.
10. Aftermath
The height keeps the number 611 on tourist lists. The beads keep arguments. No later ministry page reclassifies the night.
11. Current Archive Status
Status: 29 Jan 1986. Red ball. Height 611 slag. No airframe.
Confidence: High that a bright silent object was widely seen and that men found a burn on the ridge. Low that the beads are non-terrestrial. Low that a second night repeats the first object.
Filing note
A mining town in January, a red half-moon that made no sound, a limestone height, men climbing with bags, beads that travelled farther than any official letter, a hill that still carries the crash as a parenthetical on the map.
Parallel to the ground. Not a fall they could file as weather. A path that refused the usual word.
