1. Public Record
Cennina, Tuscany, 1 November 1954. Rosa Lotti Pescini walks to church with flowers and stockings for a festival. In a clearing she meets two small figures in a close-fitting grey, a language she does not have, a craft like a spindle. They take the stockings and the flowers. They take her story for the rest of her life. 1954 Italy is already a flap year. Cennina is the human object inside it: a woman on a path, offerings gone, a clearing that did not keep a machine.
The stockings are the detail compilers skip when they want a landing pad. They are also the reason this page exists beside Villas and other 1954 Italian nights. A gift taken is a sentence a parish understands. A spindle in a wood is the part that had to be explained after.
1 November is All Saints. Rosa is walking with things a festival can use. The figures, in her telling, are small, close-fitting grey, with a speech that is not Italian and not a joke she can bring home. They examine what she carries. They keep some of it. She still has to explain the empty hands when she reaches the church. That is the human inventory: flowers, stockings, a story she could not put down.
A path to church. Flowers. Stockings that did not arrive.
They take the stockings and the flowers.
Offerings gone is the parish fact. Craft geometry is the later one. File them in that order. A woman walking to a festival is not a contactee with a mailing list.
2. Date of Incident
1 November 1954, morning path to church.
3. Location
Cennina, Bucine, Tuscany. Approximate 43°29 N 011°37 E.
4. Official Narrative
No Italian ministry recovery. Official narrative is absence. 1954 press carried the flap. This clearing did not produce a tray.
5. Witness Layer
Rosa Lotti Pescini. Parish and family as later remembered. 1954 Italian compilers.
A woman on a path, offerings gone, a clearing that did not keep a machine.
Keep Rosa as a woman walking. The figures can sit in the next sentence. They do not get to own the path before she does.
1954 Italy is already a flap year.
Flaps mint landings. That does not mint this one. It does mean Cennina has to work against a year that wanted spindles. The stockings are how it works.
6. Recovery Logistics
Testimony. No stockings returned as evidence. No craft.
7. Assessment
Start with the path and the festival bundle. Two small figures taking cloth is a strange theft or a contact. Either way the woman is first. Do not write 1954 over her. Do not write Villas over her. Cennina is one clearing and one name.
This folder files Cennina as a one-witness Italian morning with a human inventory: flowers, stockings, a story she could not put down. Keep the spindle in the clearing. Keep the church as the place she was going.
8. Materials & Remains
Account. No returned cloth. No hardware.
9. Key Personnel
Rosa Lotti Pescini : The path.
10. Aftermath
1954 keeps its Italian list. Cennina keeps a name most lists spell once. The stockings do not come back.
11. Current Archive Status
Status: 1 Nov 1954. Path. Stockings gone.
Confidence: High that Rosa told a clearing story that morning. Low that the figures are typed. Low that a craft remained.
Filing note
A Tuscan path on All Saints, a woman with flowers and stockings, two small figures in grey, a spindle that did not stay, a parish that understood the theft better than the geometry.
The stockings did not arrive. That is the festival sentence.
