1. Public Record

Hampton Court Palace. Wolsey's house first, then Henry's, then a tourist machine with state apartments and a maze. The living inventory is large enough without adding anyone. Talk still gives Jane Seymour in the Clock Court, Catherine Howard on the Haunted Gallery screaming for Henry, and Sybil Penn, Edward VI's nurse, in the south-west wing after her tomb was disturbed in 1829. Staff have used those names for generations. The palace does not put them on a payroll.

In 2003 a palace CCTV frame from a fire door in the cloister caught a short figure in period dress that the papers named Skeletor. Security treated it as a person in costume until they could not find the person. Guides still walk visitors around the Gallery and pause where Howard is said to have run. The building is real. The scream is a pause in a script. The frame is a still that will not sit still in the gift shop.

A palace that outlived its kings. A gallery that kept one scream.

On the name the tours will not drop

2. Date of Incident

Tudor deaths as the ground. Penn talk after 1829. CCTV still 2003. Tours ongoing.

3. Location

Hampton Court, Richmond upon Thames. Approximate 51°24 N 000°20 W.

4. Official Narrative

Historic Royal Palaces runs a house. Official narrative is masonry and monarchy. It sells the Gallery. It does not certify a scream.

5. Witness Layer

Staff across centuries. Visitors. 2003 security who had a frame and no costume department to match it.

On the nurse who arrived late

A short figure in period dress the papers named Skeletor.

On the 2003 still

6. Recovery Logistics

No remains tagged to the Gallery. One CCTV frame. A tomb opened in 1829 that the house still mentions.

7. Assessment

The palace does not need a ghost to be heavy. Henry already did that. What the house actually holds is a gallery with a name, a nurse who only starts after a tomb is moved, and a 2003 still that security could not cash as a member of staff. That is enough without turning Howard into a nightly booking.

Skeletor is a newspaper word. Leave it as a frame. The scream in the script is older and thinner. Walk the Gallery for the plaster. If something walks with you, that is your business. This folder will not sell it twice.

8. Materials & Remains

Palace. Gallery. 2003 still. Penn story after 1829.

9. Key Personnel

Catherine Howard : The gallery name.

Sybil Penn : The nurse after the tomb.

2003 security : The frame.

10. Aftermath

The maze still takes tickets. The Gallery still pauses. Historic Royal Palaces still has a house to run.

11. Current Archive Status

Status: Tudor palace. Gallery named. 2003 still. No payroll ghost.

Confidence: High that the palace and the gallery exist and that a 2003 frame was published. Low that any named queen is walking it.

Filing note

A house that ate cardinals and kings, a gallery that kept one woman's run, a nurse who only arrives after someone opens her tomb, a fire-door camera that caught a figure nobody could roster.

Skeletor. The papers needed a name. The door only needed a frame.
