1. Public Record
Area 51. Groom Lake, Nevada. A dry lake the map treated as nothing and the Air Force treated as a runway. U-2, A-12, and later test articles used the box because it was far from buses and close to restricted air. The name Area 51 is a grid square that leaked into culture. The base is real. The saucer warehouse is the part that never got a dockets stamp. Bob Lazar's S-4 sits down the road in the later telling and is a different claim.
In 2013 the CIA posts a U-2 history that says the word in public and still does not give you a visitor badge. 2019's internet joke about a storm does not open the gate. What this page can hold is a test site that needed secrecy for aircraft the public was not supposed to see, and a culture that filled the empty square with everything else.
A lakebed. A grid number. Aircraft that were secret before they were folklore.
2. Date of Incident
Groom as a test site from the mid-1950s. Lazar late 1980s. CIA wording 2013.
3. Location
Groom Lake, Nevada. Approximate 37°14 N 115°49 W.
4. Official Narrative
Acknowledged test facility for classified aircraft. Official narrative is aviation. It does not concede a non-human inventory.
5. Witness Layer
Test pilots and contractors under oath they cannot finish. Lazar as the S-4 voice. Hikers at the ridgeline. CIA historians of the U-2.
6. Recovery Logistics
Runways and hangars behind a line. No public disc tray. S-4 as a neighbouring claim, not as this lakebed.
7. Assessment
A secret aircraft shop will generate lights and rumours. That is not the same as a warehouse of recovered craft. Keep Groom as Groom. Keep Lazar in the S-4 paragraph if you need him, not as the landlord of 51. The 2013 paper is a name, not a tour.
This folder files Area 51 as a real box on a real lake that earned its folklore by doing classified aviation in public view of a ridgeline. The empty square on old maps was the point. Culture hated a blank and filled it.
8. Materials & Remains
U-2 / A-12 history. Ridgeline photographs of a lakebed. No public non-human inventory.
9. Key Personnel
CIA / USAF test community : The shop.
Bob Lazar : S-4, neighbouring claim.
10. Aftermath
The gate stays a gate. The joke stays a joke. The runway stays the reason the box was drawn.
11. Current Archive Status
Status: Groom Lake. Real base. Saucer tray unstamped.
Confidence: High that a classified test site exists at Groom. High that U-2 and later types flew there. Low that a non-human warehouse is documented.
Filing note
A dry lake, a grid square that leaked, aircraft the public was not supposed to see, a ridgeline full of binoculars, a 2013 paper that said the name and still did not hand over a badge.
The base is real. The warehouse is the part culture invented to explain why the map was blank.
