1. Public Record

Magonia. Jacques Vallée, Passport to Magonia, 1969. A country that is not on a map and is on every older fairy road. Vallée takes the 1897 airship, the 1954 flap, the abducting procession, and puts them in one weather system. The book is the object. No landing is required for the country to exist. Ummo paid in postage. Serpo paid in attachments. Magonia paid in a library ticket.

This is not a crash. It is a rename. Compilers who want nuts and bolts treat the book as a surrender. Compilers who want fairies treat it as a coronation. Both miss the move: Vallée did not close the tray. He changed the label on the weather.

A 1969 spine. A country with no border post. A shelf that already holds Ummo and Serpo.

Readers take Magonia as a vibe. Vallée wrote cases. The gap between vibe and case is how the word escaped the book. File the escape. Do not file a capital.

Paper again. Different paper. A theory that wanted custody of a century, not a passenger list.

2. Date of Incident

Publication 1969. The cases inside run centuries. The book date is the spine.

3. Location

Unlocated by design. Approximate argument wherever the book sat. No coordinates this page will invent as a capital.

4. Official Narrative

A book. Official narrative is absence of a country. Blue Book does not type Magonia.

5. Witness Layer

Jacques Vallée. Readers. Ummo and Serpo as neighbouring ink. Stratton later naming Vallée as a friend at AlienCon is weather, not this title.

Three ways not to land. File them apart. Do not make Vallée the author of Serpo.

Labels are not trays. They still change what later officers are willing to say in a room. Stratton's UAP-not-UFO sentence sits in that weather. It does not sit in this title.

6. Recovery Logistics

The book. Later reprints. No craft.

7. Assessment

Start with 1969 and the spine. A researcher put folklore and saucers in one country and left the border open. That is the file. Not a proof. Not a surrender. A rename that outlived the year.

This folder files Magonia as a book-country. Keep Ummo and Serpo as other inks. Keep Stratton's ranch off this title. No capital. No tray.

1969 is also Carter's year on this shelf, in another key. A book and a Lions lot. Neither is a recovery. Both changed what later rooms were willing to say.

Readers use Magonia as atmosphere. Vallée stacked cases: airships, processions, 1954. The atmosphere escaped the cases. That escape is how an officer in 2023 can say phenomena instead of saucers and still think he is being precise. File the escape. Leave the ranch on Stratton's card.

8. Materials & Remains

Passport to Magonia and later work. No hardware.

9. Key Personnel

Jacques Vallée : The spine.

10. Aftermath

The word Magonia stays in the mouths of people who never read the book. That is how countries without border posts travel.

11. Current Archive Status

Status: 1969 book. No capital.

Confidence: High that the book exists and made the rename. Low that Magonia is a place you can walk to. High that this is not Serpo.

Filing note

A 1969 spine, a country with no post, postage and attachments already on this shelf, a later officer who named Vallée in a panel and must not be allowed to turn this book into a ranch.

He changed the label. The tray stayed empty. Both of those are the file.
