VALDERAS
1 June 1967, afternoon. San Jose de Valderas, Madrid. Disc low enough for several cameras. Prints show an inverted U or hook already known from UMMO letters. Ribera takes the gift. Later benches will not.

1. Public Record
San José de Valderas, southwest Madrid, 1 June 1967, afternoon. People in the suburb look up and report a disc low enough to photograph. Several cameras work. Prints circulate with an inverted U or hook on the underside that some readers already know from the UMMO letters then moving through Spanish ufology. Antonio Ribera takes the stills as a daylight gift and writes them that way. Aluche, another Madrid suburb, has had its own object talk in the same season. The afternoon sits down in that weather whether it belongs there or not.
Then the photographs begin to look too helpful. Symbols that read like a logo. Prints that arrive at papers with a neatness sceptics do not like. Henri Broch and later Vicente-Juan Ballester Olmos are among those who will not hang a craft on the hook. UMMO is a separate infection with its own paper trail. It loves a mark. That does not prove it made one over Valderas. It also does not clear the stills.
A Madrid afternoon. Markings on a print. A neighbouring myth that wanted the symbol.
Pictures circulate with markings that look like an inverted U or hook on the underside.
2. Date of Incident
1 June 1967, afternoon. Aluche talk in the same season. UMMO letters already in Spanish rooms.
3. Location
San José de Valderas, Madrid. Approximate 40°24 N 003°50 W.
4. Official Narrative
No clean Spanish official recovery. Civilian research splits between gift and hoax. UMMO literature tries to swallow the afternoon and should not be allowed to.
5. Witness Layer
Suburban witnesses. Several photographers. Ribera. Later Spanish and French sceptics. UMMO correspondents as noise, not as the hour.
The photographs begin to look too helpful.
UMMO already in the air in Spain.
6. Recovery Logistics
Prints in civilian files. No hardware. No ministry tray. Aluche as a neighbouring page, not a proof.
7. Assessment
Daylight photographs should be a gift. These became a problem. A hook that reads like letterhead is either the best underside in Spain or the reason to put the prints down. Witnesses in a suburb are still allowed. They do not automatically baptise a symbol.
This folder files the afternoon as disputed daylight and keeps UMMO in the next drawer. One infection does not get to explain a whole suburb. The stills have to earn every sentence. So far they have earned an asterisk.
8. Materials & Remains
Photographs. Ribera's early pages. Later sceptical notes. No object.
9. Key Personnel
Valderas witnesses and photographers : The afternoon.
Antonio Ribera : The early champion.
Ballester Olmos / Broch : The later brake.
10. Aftermath
The stills remain in every Spanish anthology with a caveat. UMMO remains a louder room next door. Valderas remains a suburb.
11. Current Archive Status
Status: 1 Jun 1967. Daylight stills. Markings disputed.
Confidence: High that people in Valderas reported a low object that afternoon. Low that the prints are clean. Low that UMMO explains or disproves the hour.
Filing note
A Madrid suburb in daylight, several cameras, a hook on the underside of a print, a researcher who wanted the gift, later benches that wanted the hoax, a neighbouring myth that loves symbols and should not be handed this afternoon for free.
The photographs began to look too helpful. That sentence is the case now, whether the sky was empty or not.
