1. Public Record
Lake Brosno lies in Tver Oblast near the town of Andreapol, a deep oval with steep banks and about forty-three metres of water at the worst point. Shore talk gives a sunken church on the western bed. The local name for the thing in the water is Brosnya. Retellings push the first stories to the thirteenth century. In the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries the rumour is consistent on one point: something comes up in the evening and goes under as soon as people draw near.
A later tale, mid-twentieth, says the beast took a German aircraft whole during the war. No airframe has been raised and tagged to that sentence. Sceptics on the shore prefer a beaver lodge or a pike that grew past the stories. The lake holds perch and burbot for the men who actually wet a line. No ministry list carries Brosnya as fauna. Guesthouses mention her when a visitor asks. They do not keep a hide in the shed.
Evening water. A shy dive. No crate.
2. Date of Incident
Folk talk from medieval retellings through Tsarist rumour into Soviet and post-Soviet tourism. Aircraft story attached to the 1940s.
3. Location
Lake Brosno, Tver Oblast, Russia. Approximate 56°50 N 031°56 E.
4. Official Narrative
A fishing lake. Official narrative is water, depth, and ordinary fish. Brosnya is not on a fauna schedule.
5. Witness Layer
Andreapol shore families. Seasonal visitors. No named aircrew for the swallowed-plane tale. No scientist with a type specimen.
6. Recovery Logistics
No hide. No aircraft recovered and marked Brosnya. Depth soundings. Church as talk.
7. Assessment
Keep the forty-three metres and the western church so the water has structure before it has a dragon. Pike and beaver are already in the basin and do not need a new order. The evening surface and the dive when a boat closes are the whole method in the old talk. Do not write a warplane as diet. Do not write a sauropod. A lake that photographs as a lake is allowed to stay one.
8. Materials & Remains
The lake. Shore stories. No specimen. No raised aircraft.
9. Key Personnel
Andreapol shore speakers : The name Brosnya.
Seasonal visitors : Later eyes, no hide.
10. Aftermath
Boats and small guesthouses. Fog on the low shore. The lake still closes over whatever comes up at dusk.
11. Current Archive Status
Status: Tver lake. Brosnya talk. No specimen. Church under water.
Confidence: High that the name and the evening-surface talk exist. Low that a dragon is collected. Low that a German aircraft lies in anything's gut.
Filing note
A deep Tver lake, a church on the western bed, evening water that closes when a boat comes, a war story nobody can land, pike already in the net.
Submerged when people approached. The most consistent behaviour in a record with no body.
